Air Fryer Tortilla Chips

Do you have an air fryer yet? I have tried several, and this is my current favorite: Cosori Air Fryer Oven Pro II 5.8 QT. I’m such a huge fan and use mine several times a week. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and makes everything — like these air fryer tortilla chips — nice and crispy without a lot of oil!

If you’re new to the air fryer, check out my Air Fryer 101 video. That explains everything you need to know: how to use the presets or set your own time and temp, how to clean it, and a bunch of tips for ensuring good results. Then all you need is a handful of recipes, and you’re in the right place for that!

For these air fryer tortilla chips, you’ll just need a few ingredients: corn tortillas, olive oil, and salt. You can drizzle lime juice on the chips after cooking if you’d like. For the corn tortillas, look for some that are about 5 to 6 inches (12 – 15 cm) in diameter, which is a fairly standard size. If you get the smaller “street taco” size, your chips will still be tasty, just a bit smaller.

For serving, these chips are delicious alongside Beef Tacos, or for scooping up Texas caviar, Instant Pot Black Bean Dip, or Avocado Salsa Verde. For a quick snack, try them with guacamole (mashed avocado with diced tomatoes, onions and peppers, and seasoned with salt and lime).

Air Fryer Tortilla Chips

Ingredients

  • 6 corn tortillas, cut into quarters
  • Olive oil spray or brush
  • Kosher salt
  • 1/2 lime, if desired

Instructions

  1. Brush or spray both sides of the tortilla wedges with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt.
  2. Place 6-8 wedges in a single layer in the basket of an air fryer. Air fry at 350 degrees F (176 degrees C) for 5 – 7 minutes, checking on them once halfway through to make sure they aren’t overlapping.
  3. Transfer to a shallow bowl, drizzle with lime juice if desired, sprinkle with salt, and serve.
