Rice Krispie Treat Nests

Rice Krispie Treat Nests

These Rice Krispie Treat Nests are one of our favorite Easter traditions! They’re easy to make and turn out so adorable! You can serve them on a platter as part of a dessert spread, or wrap them up individually and send in lunches or give them as gifts.

The best part about these Rice Krispie Treat Nests is that you only need four simple ingredients to make them: butter, marshmallows, Rice Krispies and Mini Cadbury Candy Eggs! If you can’t find the Cadbury brand, just grab another egg-shaped candy and you are good to go!

The one hassle of this recipe is that the Rice Krispie and marshmallow mixture and get a little sticky. To minimize the stickiness, be sure to grease the muffin tin and your hands with a little butter before pressing the gooey mixture into the muffin cups.

Think you might try these? I’d love to hear if you do! Leave me a comment or tag me on Instagram … I’m always in awe of your beautiful creations and especially the stories that go along with them! Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 10-ounce bag mini marshmallows (minus whatever your kids eat as you’re cooking!)
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • Butter or baking spray, to grease the muffin tin and your hands
  • 1 8-ounce bag Mini Cadbury Candy Eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Turn off the heat. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well-coated.
  2. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with butter or baking spray. Scoop the Rice Krispie mixture into the muffin cups, pressing down a bit as you go. Grease your fingers with butter or baking spray and then press down in the center of the nests to make a little indention for the eggs. Let the nests sit in the pan until cool and firm, about 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the nests from the muffin tin, arrange on a platter and fill with mini Cadbury eggs! For easier serving and sharing, you can place each nest in a paper cupcake liner.
