Chocolate Chip Cookies

One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Cookies

These One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Cookies are our new favorite! With just one large bowl and a spatula, you can whip these up with minimal mess!

The other great thing about this recipe is that it uses melted butter. Melted butter is so easy to work with! But, there are two things you need to know: First, while you can melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove-top, if you use the microwave, be sure to cover the container with a paper towel, as the butter may get overheated and pop. Second, melted butter needs to cool a bit before you add it to the egg and sugar mixture. (If the butter is too hot, it can cook the eggs!) So let the butter sit at room temp until it’s just barely warm.

One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 15 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together eggs, sugar and vanilla until well combined. Add melted butter and mix again. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir just to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, place tablespoon-sized scoops of dough on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 14-15 minutes. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.

  1. I have now made this recipe twice and both times – excellent results. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and crushed walnuts. I also shared them with others in our building and have heard rave reviews. The recipe is easy to follow and a synch to clean up afterwards – an added bonus. Thanks so much for this recipe. I love your videos on you tube.

  2. Hi Marie!
I just found this video on YouTube about 2 weeks ago and tried baking these chocolate chip cookies. I am less than a novice baker and don’t know a whole lot about baking. However I am eager to try and to learn. When I saw your video on YouTube, I thought it looks simple enough to give it a try. And the cookies came out absolutely great!!! I gave some to a friend of mine and she thought I bought them somewhere. I was so happy I was in tears as I told her I made them. Thank you for posting the video and sharing this recipe. It gave me confidence to try baking other things. I will definitely look at your other recipes!
    Aloha!
