Nutella Brownie

Nutella Brownie

This Nutella Brownie is quick, easy and delicious! You’ll need just one bowl and a fork or spatula to whip up the dough, and it cooks in 30 minutes. So it’s great as a last-minute dessert idea, or anytime you want a homemade sweet treat without a lot of hassle or clean up.

Although we love to cook and serve the brownie in a cast iron skillet, don’t worry if you don’t have one. Just about any 8, 9, or 10-inch baking pan will do!

While many brownie recipes require you to melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler (ugh!), this recipe just uses simple Nutella. It’s so amazing that you can get the most delicious, rich chocolate flavor with just one ingredient!

And guess what else? The same recipe works with all-purpose flour, gluten-free flour, or almond flour! The substitution is 1 for 1, so just sub in whichever flour you prefer. Can’t wait for you to try this easy, flexible and delicious Nutella Brownie!

Nutella Brownie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup (370 g) Nutella
  • 2 teaspoons (8 g) vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (70 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) Kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup (44 g) semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet with butter or baking spray. If you don’t have a cast-iron skillet, an 8-, 9- or 10-inch baking pan will work as well.
  2. In a large bowl, use a fork to mix together Nutella, vanilla, instant coffee, and eggs until well-combined and smooth. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix just to combine. Add mini chocolate chips and mix again, just to combine.
  3. Dump brownie batter into skillet. Use a spatula to spread batter into an even layer.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 F (190 C). Reduce heat to 350 F (176 C) and cook for 15 minutes more. Cool at least 10 minutes. Serve warm.

Make-Ahead Tip: Skillet brownie can be made up to 1 day in advance. Cover with foil and store at room temperature. Reheat at 350 degrees F (176 C) for 5 minutes just before serving, if desired.
