Garlic Pull Apart Bread

Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

This Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart Bread is absolutely irresistible! The first time we made it, I turned around to grab my camera to snap a few pics, then turned back to the bread and there was a big hole in the middle! My son was chewing happily nearby.

The same scenario has happened every other time we’ve made it. As soon as it comes out of the oven, little fingers are reaching in to pull out a slice. There’s something just so satisfying about pull-apart bread.

We like to serve this Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart Bread along side spaghetti and our favorite easy meatballs. It’s like garlic bread but ten times more fun! If we ever have parties again (post COVID19), I’d love to serve this to a crowd. Would be perfect for a football-watching party or casual happy hour.

The best part is it’s just so easy to make. Simply slice up the bread, pour in the garlic butter, sprinkle on the cheese, garnish with parsley and bake! Twenty minutes later you’ll have toasty little pieces of bread soaked in garlic butter and cheese ready for grabbing 🙂

Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large round loaf artisan bread
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, melted
  • 1 – 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Using a serrated knife, cut loaf into thick slices (about 1 ½ inch thick), being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom of the loaf. Turn the bread 90 degrees and cut the bread again, perpendicular to your initial cuts, taking care again not to cut through the bottom of the loaf. This will create tall, thin bite-sized strips of bread that can easily be pulled up after baking.
  3. Place loaf into square baking dish. Mix garlic into melted butter. Pour garlic butter over bread and into all the cracks. Next, sprinkle mozzarella cheese into the cracks. Garnish with parsley, if desired. Bake for 20 minutes and enjoy!
