No-Bake Chocolate Tart

This No-Bake Chocolate Tart is one of my all-time favorite desserts. It’s simple, classy and elegant. It can be dressed up or down for any occasion, and it’ll impress your “special someone” every time! 

To make the crust, you’ll simply grind up some Oreos (or a gluten-free alternative) and mix that goodness with melted butter. Then press the mixture into a 9-inch tart pan and chill until ready to use. A 10- or 11-inch tart pan will also work if you don’t have a 9-inch pan.

When the crust is in the fridge, heat the cream, add the butter, salt and vanilla and stir until combined. Then, turn off the fire, remove the pan from the hot stove, add the chocolate and stir until melted. Now pour the chocolate into the crust, and you’re done! Simply refrigerate for at least 3 hours and your luscious, delicious, fabulous no-bake chocolate tart is ready to serve!

No-Bake Chocolate Tart


For Crust:

25 Oreos (or gluten-free alternative)

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted


For Filling:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup unsalted butter

8 ounces dark or bittersweet chocolate


For Serving:

Whipped cream, berries, mint leaves


  1. For the crust, process cookies in the bowl of a food processor until finely ground. (If you don’t have a food processor, place the cookies in a zip top bag and crush with a rolling pin.) Add melted butter and process again. Press crumbs into a 9-inch tart pan. Refrigerate while you make the filling.
  2. For the filling, place cream, vanilla and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add butter and stir until melted. Turn off fire and remove pan from heat. Add chocolate and stir until smooth.
  3. Pour filling into crust. Smooth top with a spatula. Refrigerate until filling is set, about 3 hours.
  4. Slice and serve chilled. Top with whipped cream, berries, and fresh mint, if desired.
